Fall of Hyperion
Dan Simmons (1990)
█ Very enjoyable, especially part three,
█ the one with Ummon. Likely couldn't
█ stand on its own without the 400 pages
█ of prologue "Hyperion" was. Great ana-
█ logy between angels on a pinhead and
█ AIs on chips. Disappointed by Moneta's
█ identity. Surprising Matrix-esque de-
█ pendance on human synapses. Glad fetal
█ alcohol syndrome was accounted for.
█ Also fun that St. Teilhard was real.
