The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald (1925)

█ Fair enough as a testament of its time
█ but in the end inconsequential and un-
█ eventful. I liked the construction of
█ Gatsby's character most. While the
█ protagonist's character was empty and
█ bland, with him doing little else but
█ observing others, the contrast of his
█ usual analyses of everyone's clothing
█ and his first description of Gatsby as
█ "a man around his own age" was ironic.
