Neuromancer
William Gibson (1984)

█ "Neuromancer" feels as hectic as its
█ setting. I was surprised by how much
█ of "Cyberpunk 2077"'s story was ripped
█ straight from it, e.g. the construct
█ of a legendary hacker's mind as a
█ sidekick. I could vividly imagine Gib-
█ son browsing tourist brochures looking
█ for suitable scenes. I disliked this
█ touristic approach, but I can't fault
█ him for the limitations of his time.
