Count Zero
William Gibson (1986)

█ While "Count Zero"'s pacing is less
█ paranoid than "Neuromancer"'s, the ro-
█ tation of its cast reduces their agen-
█ cy to coincidence. In comparison to
█ Case, Molly, and Armitage, "Count Ze-
█ ro"'s cast feels interchangeable, al-
█ though I enjoyed Turner's father-
█ daughter dynamic with Angie. "Cyber-
█ punk 2077" would copy the hunt for the
█ inventor of biochips 34 years later.
