Omnivore
Piers Anthony (1968)

█ "Omnivore" is without a doubt the best
█ installment of Anthony's "Of Man and
█ Manta" trilogy. From its cinematogra-
█ phic storytelling, excellent pacing,
█ and perfect protagonist, I enjoyed the
█ book thoroughly, particularly its set-
█ ting, the fungal planet Nacre. It only
█ suffers from the period it was written
█ in, being a prime example of "breas-
█ ting boobily down the stairs."
